[gelöst] - SCSI rejecting I/O to offline device

Hallo,

ich betreibe ein Fedora Core 7 als VMWare Guest und bekomme beim Hochfahren sehr viele folgender Meldungen:

Nach einer gewissen Zeit hat der Kernel alles durchprobiert, d.h. bei sd 2.0.15.7 hört das Probieren auf und das System wird stabil gestartet. Ich habe zur Zeit Kernel 2.6.22.9-91.fc7. Die VMWare Tools sind installiert (ich habe zumindest vmware-config-tools.pl ausgeführt).
Das Booten dauert dadurch ca. 10 Minuten.

So nun meine Frage: ist das ein Bug? Kann ich die Meldungen unterdrücken? Muss ich vielleicht dafür sorgen, dass ein gewisses Modul nicht geladen wird? Kann mir jemand helfen?

Ich bin für jeden Tipp dankbar.

stelle mal testweise den SCSI-Adapter in der .vmx Datei
von Buslogic auf LSI um (falls nicht schon bereits getestet)

Hallo Martin,

der Tipp mit der vmx-Datei war gut. Da ich die virtuelle Platte als IDE eingebunden habe, habe ich den Schalter "scsi0.present" auf "FALSE" gesetzt. Siehe da, Fedora startet zügig durch und versucht nicht mehr hunderte von scsi Devices einzubinden.

Ich werde mir aber auch deine Einstellung merken, wenn ich mal ein Image erzeuge, wo die Filesysteme als SCSI Platten eingebunden werden.
